  • ELPHIN DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES – ASSISTED PILGRIM SECTION – The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from 30th August, 2024 to the 4th September, 2024 inclusive, under the leadership of Bishop Kevin Doran. Pilgrimage Highlights includes Mass at the Grotto, Torchlight and Blessed Sacrament Processions, Anointing of the Sick, Water Ceremony.  Flights ex Knock Airport.  The Pilgrimage includes the Assisted Pilgrim Section.  Those who travel as part of the Assisted Pilgrim Section will stay in Accueil Notre Dame, which is situated beside the Grotto and Sanctuary area.  They will be cared for by the Elphin Diocesan Pilgrimage Care Team whilst in Lourdes.  Application forms for the Assisted Pilgrim Section and full details are available from Very Rev. Ray Milton, P.P., Pilgrimage Director, St. John’s, Lecarrow, Co.   • Active Retirement Meeting –  The monthly meeting of Mountbellew and District Active Retirement will be held in the Pastoral Centre Mountbellew on Wednesday 8th May at 7pm. (NOTE CHANGE OF DATE AND TIME) New members welcome.
  • Killyan Graveyard – The funds raised by the NAC 50/50 Draw in the month of May will go towards the maintenance of Killyan Graveyard.  The annual Killyan Graveyard Mass will take place on Sunday, 18th August.  The funds raised will also allow the hiring of a marquee and sound system to cater for the very large crowd expected to attend as usual.  Your support for the Draw would be very much appreciated.  Thank you for helping us to keep KGY in good condition and a fitting resting place for our departed loved ones.
  • Newbridge Action Committee 50/50 draw –Congratulations to Joe & Aishling on winning €515. Next week’s draw will be in the Shiven Inn Newbridge.  Thanks to everyone for their continued support every week, 6 months and yearly envelopes available from committee members. Thanks to Newbridge Tidy towns for doing the draw for month of April & Killyan Graveyard committee will do the draw for month of May.
  • Ballygar Tidy Towns & St. Brendan’s Ladies 50/50 – Congratulations to Congratulations to Becky McPhilbin, Creggs who won €593 in this week’s St Brendan’s Ladies Football Club & Ballygar Tidy Towns Lotto.
