About Ballygar.ie
Ballygar.ie is a collaborative project undertaken by local community groups in the town of Ballygar, Co. Galway. It aims to promote our town through local news, our events, articles and videos, and information about all the businesses and services Ballygar has to offer.

Ballygar Tidy Towns play a key role in our community. As well as maintaining and decorating our streets and keeping them litter-free, their Centre for Community Endeavors has been at the core of encouraging, supporting, and promoting projects that showcase the best of Ballygar. Their support of this website serves as a prime example of their commitment.
The idea to create a website for the town originated within the Ballygar Carnival Executive Committee. The committee often spoke of creating a web presence for the promotion of the Carnival, but with the carnival itself being an annual event, it was quickly decided that a website could be developed for the community as a whole.
…and all the local businesses and services contributing to the site.
The website was developed by Conor Moran, and was launched during Ballygar Carnival 2020.
