  • Tea for Bobby – We, the friends of Bobby Carty are holding a Tea/Coffee morning in his memory, in The Shiven Inn on Sunday 21st April after mass.  We hope to raise money which will go towards a Defibrillator which will be located in Winfield National School, to compliment the ones already located at the Shiven Inn and Shiven club grounds.  We also intend to train at least one person from each station area in the parish to be trained in the use of these devises.  We are currently running a Pool competition in his memory, The Bobby Carty Memorial Tournament, which has already raised €1250, and has had over 70 players compete.  All trophies for this event, including an engraved Cup and Shield have been kindly sponsored by Paul Wallace, Sean Gavin and Declan Murray.  All tea/coffee/treats on the morning will be sponsored, by the Shiven Inn, so we would ask people to please just donate what they can in the envelopes that will be there, to help us achieve our goal of approx., €2500.  We will also have some spot prizes on the morning for those who attend.  There will also be a donation bucket in The Shiven Shop, from Monday 15th April, which people can donate in if they cannot attend on the morning.  Thanks in advance and we hope to see you there.
