  • Medjugorje Youth Festival – The Diocese of Elphin invites young adults in the diocese aged 18-35 on pilgrimage to Medjugorje this summer for the Youth Festival from 31st July – 7th August, led by Bishop Kevin.   • Holy Places Collection – The Pontifical Good Friday Collection, is the main source of financial aid for the maintenance of life around the Holy Places. The collection with which, for centuries, Christians around the world have been doing their utmost to support their brothers and sisters in the land of Jesus. This year, the war has shut down the local economy and cut off much of the humanitarian relief. As a consequence, the situation for Palestinians and the Christian communities is critical. Your prayers and continued financial support will greatly assist the humanitarian response.
  • Diamond Jubilee – You are invited to join with Fr John Carroll SPS for a Mass of Thanksgiving on the occasion of his Diamond Jubilee (60 Years of Priesthood) on Sunday 7th April at 2.00pm in St Anne’s Church, Sligo.
  • Conference on Synodality – ‘Synodality Explored: Facing the Future Together’. International Conference at Knock Shrine in association with Notre Dame University, Australia. Keynote Speaker: Cardinal Mario Grech, Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops. Friday 19th and Saturday 20th April (10am – 4.15pm each day) at St. John’s Welcome Centre, Knock Shrine.   • M-PACT  M-PACT is a free service that offers support to all family members affected by parental substance misuse. M-PACT supports the whole family, helping to improve relationships, communication and recovery. A FREE eight-week programme will begin on Tuesday 9th April.   • To those on Facebook, your support would be greatly appreciated in liking/ following ‘ Ballygar Mental Health Awareness & Promotion’ – a community page to educate, inform, highlight support groups and trainings locally & online, share podcasts/ relevant media & resources, promote wellness & self-care, signpost services and break down stigma, with the message that no one should feel alone re their mental health and reaching out or asking for help is a strength, not a weakness!
