  • Exam Mass June 3rd at 7:30pm in Knock basilica – For all students and their families preparing for exams. Take some time out from your studies for a quiet moment to ask for God’s strength and guidance as you move through your exam period. Bring your pencil case to have it blessed!
  • Jubilee of Marriages 2024 – Inviting all couples celebrating the Anniversary of their Marriage, especially those marking their Silver, Ruby, Golden and Diamond Anniversaries Sunday 22nd September, 2024 at 2.30pm St. Brigids Church, Four Mile House Co. Roscommon.  All couples celebrating their Anniversary are asked to register their details at www.elphindiocese.ie
  • VAKS PROGRAMME: Applications are now open for VAKS (Volunteer at Knock Shrine) programme. It is an opportunity for young people in TY, 5th and 6th year to come to Knock to volunteer for a weekend in either July or August.   • First Holy Communion – Knock Shrine – Mass for First Holy Communion children and their families in Knock Basilica at 12noon on Sunday 9th June.
  • Active Retirement Meeting – The monthly meeting of Mountbellew and District Active Retirement will be held in the Pastoral Centre Mountbellew on Monday 10th June at 8pm.
  • Call for Old Carnival Brochures/Programmes – If anyone in our community has any older carnival programmes/brochures, going back to the 60s/70s/80s/90s, the committee would be very grateful to borrow and copy them for a display to celebrate the 80th carnival. A scan or photo of the brochures/programmes would be great also.   • COFFEE MORNING – Ballygar Men’s Shed is holding a Coffee Morning as part of Men’s Health Week 2024 on Tuesday the 11th June at 11am, Townhall, High street, Ballygar. All are welcome.
  • Part-Time Cleaner/Caretaker Required – Part-Time Cleaner/Caretaker (12 hours per week) required at Caltra N.S. Applications in writing to the Chairperson of the B.O.M Caltra N.S, Kinclare, Caltra, Ballinasloe by Thursday 13th of June.
  • Newbridge Action Committee 50/50 draw –Congratulations to this week’s winner Alica Fromeyer from Mississippi on winning this week’s NAC 50/50 draw. Well done Alicia and thank you to all our American friends who contribute to our draw. Thank you to Killyan Graveyard for all their hard work in running the draw this month. For the month of June Killyan Sportsfield will be in charge of the 50/50 draw. Killyan Sportsfield has done a massive amount of work in making the Sportsfield a very safe and enjoyable walking place for all age groups all the year round. Thank you all for your generous support every week and to the pubs that hosts us, very much appreciated.
