- Mass of Remembrance – Our Annual Mass of Remembrance will take place in Ballygar Church on Sunday, November 23rd at 10:30am. During the month of November we take time to remember all our loved ones who have gone to their eternal rest. We especially remember those who passed away since November last year. There will be a short service and blessing of the graves in the cemetery after this Mass.
- Recruitment for St. Mary’s Church Choir, Ballygar In preparation for Christmas, the choir of St. Mary’s Church, Ballygar hopes to recruit new members. If you enjoy singing, and are over the age of 15, please contact Tomás Kenny on 086 3683778 for more information.
- Cleanup in Ballygar and Killeroran Cemeteries – There will be a cleanup in Killeroran cemetery on Saturday, November 15th, starting at 11am. On Saturday, November 22nd, there will be a cleanup in Ballygar cemetery, also starting at 11am. Please bring gloves and any suitable tools for weeding. Your support would be greatly appreciated for both cleanups.

- North Galway Vintage & Heritage Club Annual Mega Auto Jumble on Sunday 9th November, Glenamaddy Equestrian Centre (F45VP66). Up to 50 autojumble stands in attendance. Catering provided on the day.
- Newbridge Ladies Club are hosting an information night in Newbridge Hall on Tuesday 11th. November at 8.30p.m. Mary Delaney, Ballygar Post Office, is giving a talk on what’s available in our local post office. All are welcome. Bring a friend. Refreshments served.
- Mass for deceased members of Shiven Rovers Card Game will be held in Shiven Rovers Clubhouse on Monday next, November 10th. at 8.15pm. All are welcome. Progressive 25 Card Game will follow and is on every Monday night in the Clubhouse at 8.30pm. Money prizes and refreshments served. All support is appreciated.
- Ballygar Carnival AGM – The Annual General Meeting of Ballygar Carnival will take place on Saturday, November 8th at 8:15pm in the Mattie McDonagh Centre. All are welcome to attend.
- New 4-week term of Pilates starting Wednesday 5th November in Athleague community centre @7pm also in Newbridge Hall @8:30pm, everyone welcome. Text Bonnie 087 2238237 to book your place.
- Card Game – Caltra National School Parents Association hold a Monster Progressive Card Game on Saturday November 29th in the Caltra Community Centre at 8pm. All welcome €600 in prizes, many table prizes and raffle with great prizes on the night. Refreshments will be served and all card players in the region are encouraged to attend.
- Dunmore Bingo – Dunmore Community Council Bingo will take place on Sunday November 9th in the Town Hall, Dunmore at 3pm. Lots of prizes on the day including a €500 jackpot. Draw for a free double book, single book, lucky line sheet and Jackpot sheet. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits will be served at the interval. All are welcome.
- Save the Date! Mountbellew Christmas Market will be on again this year on Sunday 23rd November at the Ag College Gym.
- CHRISTMAS MARKET in Athleague hall on Sunday 9th November from 10am to 3pm. There will be a lot of stalls with home baking, clothes, Christmas crafts, BRic a BRac and tea/coffee. And a lot more with lots of Christmas cheer.
