Sunday 23rd November Mass of Remembrance – Our Annual Mass of Remembrance will take place in Ballygar Church this Sunday, November 23rd at 10.30am. During the month of November we take time to remember all our loved ones who have gone to their eternal rest. We especially remember those who passed away since November last year. There will be a short service and blessing of the graves in the cemetery after this Mass.

- Card Game – Caltra National School Parents Association hold a Monster Progressive Card Game on Saturday November 29th in the Caltra Community Centre at 8pm. All welcome €600 in prizes, many table prizes and raffle with great prizes on the night. Refreshments will be served and all card players in the region are encouraged to attend.
- Newbridge Tidy Towns next Cash for Clobber collection will take place on Saturday, November 29th Bags may be dropped off that morning at Cunningham’s Shop between 10 am and 12 pm. Strictly no duvets, no pillows, no cushions, no dog bedding, no blankets, please.

- This Sunday Nov 23rd Mountbellew Christmas market is in the Ag College gym 11-4. Handmade decorations, baked goods, lots of unique gift ideas, kid’s market, kid’s penalty shootout competitions and Santa’s postbox. Lots of fun and treats for everyone!
- Ability West Fashion Show & Entertainment Night – Ability West will hold its annual Fashion Show & Entertainment Night on Wednesday, 26th November in The Clayton Hotel, Galway. Hosted by Ollie Turner, the event will feature fashion and performances from participants across Ability West services. Doors open at 7.00pm and the show starts at 8.00pm. Tickets are €20 and available on our website or on the door on the night. Online tickets can be collected at the door. All are welcome to attend this much-loved event.
- Save the Club Draw – Mountbellew Golf Club have launched a “Save the Club” draw with tickets on sale at €20 or three for €50. The prize fund is for 1st prize €10,000, 2nd Ten-year membership of the Club 3rd €3,000, 4th prize €1000 in Cash. The draw will be held on March 1st 2026. Tickets can be purchased from any club member or online from the club’s website. The club has been rescued by the generosity of members and friends of the club from the “Vulture Fund Owners” but the now West Midlands Credit Union Loan must now be paid off and hence the draw to help with the repayments. All support appreciated.
