  • Achonry & Elphin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock – The Achonry & Elphin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine takes place on Sunday, 16th August 2026. There will also be a Family Day on the same date offering various activities for families with children of all ages. The dioceses extend a special invitation to altar servers and their families to join the pilgrimage.
  • Annual National Grandparents Pilgrimage – Celebrating the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly, this pilgrimage takes place on Sunday 26th July 2026 at Knock Shrine. Anointing of the Sick at 2.30pm and Mass at 3pm. Celebrant, Archbishop Eamon Martin. A day of grace and blessing for the whole family.
  • Achonry and Elphin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes – takes place from 28th August to 2nd September 2026 inclusive, led by Bishop Kevin Doran. Assisted Pilgrimage Section: Those who travel as part of the Assisted Pilgrim Section will stay in Accueil Notre Dame, which is situated near the Grotto and Sanctuary area. They will be cared for by the Diocesan Pilgrimage Care Team whilst in Lourdes.  Application forms for the Assisted Pilgrim Section and full details are available from Very Rev. Ray Milton, P.P., Pilgrimage Director, St. John’s, Lecarrow, Co.   • Pioneer Pilgrimage – The annual Pioneer pilgrimage Mass at Knock Shrine will be celebrated in the Basilica at 3pm next Sunday 19th July. Pioneers extend a welcome to families and relatives of people who are undergoing treatment for addiction at this time.   • 50 Years of Knock Basilica – Knock Shrine celebrates the 50th anniversary of Knock Basilica with a special gathering this Saturday, July 18th. This day of nostalgia, memories and thanksgiving begins at 11am and includes the screening of a new short film; interviews with Tommy Marren, Midwest Radio, and ‘behind the scenes’ guided tours of the Basilica.
