  • Jubilee of Marriages 2024 – Inviting all couples celebrating the Anniversary of their Marriage, especially those marking their Silver, Ruby, Golden and Diamond Anniversaries Sunday 22nd September, 2024 at 2.30pm St. Brigids Church, Four Mile House Co.   • National Grandparents Pilgrimage – All are welcome to the National Grandparents Pilgrimage at Knock Shrine on Sunday, 28th July, commencing at 2.30pm with Anointing of the Sick. Mass at 3pm with principal celebrant Archbishop Luis Mariano Montemayor, Papal Nuncio.
  • Pioneer Pilgrimage to Knock – The Pioneer Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Sunday 21 July. Mass at 3pm will be followed by Eucharistic Blessing and Procession to the Shrine. Pioneers along with friends and relations of people who are living “one day at a time” with addiction are welcome.
  • Reek Sunday 2024 – Sunday 28 July The annual national pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick ‘Reek Sunday’ takes place on Sunday 28 July.  Mass will be celebrated on the summit of the mountain on the hour with the first Mass at 8:00am and the last Mass at 2:00pm. Confessions will be available on the summit from 7:30am to 2:00pm.  
  • Elphin Diocese’s Morning Pilgrim Walk from Castlerea to Knock will take place on Sunday 18th August.  For more info see www.elphindiocese.ie/walk2knock
  • Donamon Castle Retreat Day (11am – 4 pm) on Thursday 15th August.  More details available at: www.elphindiocese.ie/our-lady  All welcome.
  • Campa Samhraidh / Pop- up Gaeltacht. Summer Camp for Children – 1 week only, Riverchapel Community Centre (beside Brooks).  Mon to Fri.   • 6k Fun Walk/Run in Newbridge Sunday 21st July in Aid of the Special Care Baby Unit Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe and the CardiacWard and Parent’s Accommodation in Crumlin’s Children Hospital Dublin. Registration from 12.30pm. Walk at 1pm. Refreshments and Spot prizes in The Shiven Inn after.
  • Chime – The National Charity for Deaf & Hard of Hearing People, run an outreach clinic in Ballinasloe.  Date – The first Wednesday of each month, Times – 10.30am – 1.00pm, Venue – Health Centre, Brackernagh, Ballinasloe.  For more information on Chimes Service check out their website www.chime.ie 
  • MOW BNT – Meals on wheels operates on a Tuesday and Thursday within our Parish.  A hot dinner and dessert are provided.  If you would like more information or to avail of this service, please contact Teresa on 087-450-2761.
  • Mountbellew District Development CES CLG – are you in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment and would like to re-train while working, there are CE places available within the area, please contact 090-6624034 or 090-9679085 for more information.
  • Call for Old Carnival Brochures/Programmes – If anyone in our community has any older carnival programmes/brochures, going back to the 60s/70s/80s/90s, the committee would be very grateful to borrow and copy them for a display to celebrate the 80th carnival. A scan or photo of the brochures/programmes would be great also.   • Newbridge Action Committee 50/50 draw –Congratulations to this week’s 50/50 winner Jason Burke on winning €429.  Next week’s draw will be in Kenny’s Ballygar.
