  • St Mary’s Choir, Vincent de Paul Collection – Many thanks to all who attended our annual Carol Service and contributed so generously to our Vincent de Paul Collection on Sunday, December 21st.  The amount raised was €1,8505.05. Many thanks again.

  • The AGM of Mountbellew and District Active Retirement Association will be held in the Pastoral Centre, Mountbellew on Monday January 12th at 8pm. We look forward to a good attendance.
  • 8 Week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, 8pm 8th January, online – Join Mary Lally for an 8-week online Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course designed to help you reduce stress, sleep better and feel more grounded in daily life.   • DUNMORE BINGO – Dunmore Community Council Bingo will take place on Sunday January 11th in the Town Hall, Dunmore at 3pm. Lots of prizes on the day including a €500 jackpot on forty-five calls or less. Draw for a free double book, single book, lucky line sheet and Jackpot sheet.   • At a recent Shearfest Committee meeting it was decided to launch Shearfest 2026 on Saturday 10th January with a dance, music & raffle in the Malthouse, Mountbellew.  All proceeds will go to ” Building for Children”. Admission on door.  Shearfest 2026 will take place on the weekend of 30 & 31st May (Bank Holiday weekend) – top bands will appear, family entertainment & lots more.
  • Living Well Programme – Free HSE programme of workshops for people with long-term health conditions, such as diabetes, arthritis, COPD, cardiac illness, anxiety, etc. Commences Thursday 22nd January at 10.30am in the Cube Building Roscommon Town. Further details: 098 419 50.  
  • Newbridge Action Committee 50/50 draw – Congratulations on winning this week’s 50/50 draw Hernie Livingston c/o Fr. Tommy Conway who won €561.  The proceeds of the next draw will go to Shiven Rovers FC Fun Run, in aid of East Galway & Midlands Cancer Support and Shiven Rovers FC.  Thank you for your continued to everyone at home & abroad.
