Sick and Housebound – Fr. Douglas to visit on Friday 7th February.  If you or a family member would like Fr. Douglas to visit, please call on 09-6624637.

  • – 8 August 2025 with Bishop Kevin Doran. The pilgrimage is open to 18 – 35 year olds. The cost is €995 per person sharing and this includes flights, coach transfers, accommodation, Youth Jubilee with Pope Francis in Rome, 3 days on the St Columbanus Camino in northern Italy and day trip to Milan. All the details and how to book are available at www.achonrydiocese.org and www.elphindiocese.ie  This is an inter-diocesan pilgrimage for young adults living in the dioceses of Achonry and Elphin; Galway and Clonfert.
  • Peace will commence on Saturday 7th December in St. Mary’s Church beginning at 6.50pm with Rosary and mediation, Vigil Mass 7.30pm, Holy Communion.  The next Saturday will be the 1st February, 2025.  Confession within 21days.
  • -The Choir of St. Mary’s Church, Ballygar would like to thank all who donated to our annual Vincent de Paul collection as part of our Christmas Carol Service on December 22nd.  A total of €1,344.10 was collected on the night.  Many thanks again to all who attended and donated so generously. 
  • in conjunction with WEEE Ireland have organised a collection of electrical, battery and lighting waste until the 7th February. Items for disposal can be left at the rear of Ballygar Garda Station. Please do not leave any boxes or plastic bags, just loose items.   
  • meeting in Newbridge Hall on Tuesday night 4th. February at 8.30pm.  We would be delighted if new members would join – why not come along on the night.
  • will hold an enrolment evening for parents only at the school on Tuesday 18th February at 7pm. 
  •    4x1hr weekly sessions 3-4pm on Thursdays starting 30th January 2025. Sessions include: Health & Fitness, Basic First Aid, Nutrition, Technology & Devices.  These sessions will take place in the Old School Building.   • 50 draw –Congratulations to this week’s 50/50 winner, Aisling and Orla Kelly, Raheny on winning €476 this week’s draw. Thank you for your continued support & to all the businesses for their continued support every week.  Best of luck to all the volunteers who have gone to Ethiopia doing their volunteering, safe travels to them all.
  • – Congratulations to this week’s winner Ronan Collins, Thornfield who won €580 in this week’s St Brendan’s Ladies Football Club & Ballygar Tidy Towns lotto. Thank’s to all who are supporting the draw and all the businesses who are selling the tickets. Next week’s draw in Hughes, Saturday 1st February.
