Easter Envelopes will be available in the Sacristy; can collectors please collect and distribute during the coming week.

TAX BACK SCHEME – Under the Charities Act, Parishes can claim tax back for people who have contributed over €250.00, to the Parish in a year.  If you are interested in allowing the Parish to avail of this rebate, at no cost to yourself, please contact the Parish Office for a form.  Some families will receive theirs with the Easter Collection envelope.  A small number of forms will be available from the 3 Church Porches, to be returned by the 18/19th April and the forms will then be processed.

Malahide Murders – In remembrance of James Clarke and the McDonell family from Ballygar, who where murdered in Malahide on the 31st March, 1926, 100 years ago.

  • The First 5 Saturday Devotions will continue Saturday 4th April 2026 in St. Mary’s Church, Ballygar after Saturday night devotions. It’s also on webcam, online.  The Divine Mercy Novena commences on Good Friday 3rd April to Sunday 12th April.  The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be recited after Good Friday Devotions and see notice board for further times.
  • HRC Past Pupils’ Gathering Class of 1981 to 1986 – Holy Rosary College, Mountbellew – Class of 1981 to 1986 are holding a 40 Year Past Pupil Reunion on Saturday 2nd May 2026. This will be an opportunity for classmates to meet up and take a trip down memory lane. Light refreshments will be served on the night. For more Information Contact Claire Healy 085-747-1916.

It was fantastic to see such support.  We’re excited to get started and our first speaker Dr. Myriam Mangan will set us off on a “healthy” path at 11 am on 16th April in Social Services Ballygar.   • MALTHOUSE PLAYERS – Malthouse Players wish to acknowledge the great support last weekend for our production of “Nobody’s Talking to Me” by Tommy Marren.   • Cancer Care West Walk 2025/2026 – All will be delighted to hear we dropped into Cancer Care West last week from Caltra/Ahascragh/ Fohenagh GAA Clubs the sum of €11,284.90 from the Annual walk.  Thanks for the fantastic help and support and kind donations. Receipts will be forwarded to all soon
  • Talk On Brehon Law – The speaker is the eminent senior counsel Mr Brendan Grehan who will speak to: ”An introduction to the Brehon Law, a system of law unique to Ireland, some of its general principles, local connections especially to Park Castle, Clonbern and a modern perspective on relevance in the practice of law today’’.  Friday April 24th at 8;00pm in Moylough Community Hall Galway H53 D981.  All are welcome.
