- Training for Volunteers – this training is for volunteers working with children in the diocese, this includes those acting as supervisors of Altar Services, Sacristans, Choir Leaders, Liturgy Group Leaders, Children’s Pray Group Leaders, Eucharistic Ministers who are delivering to Communion to homes or who assist as Supervisors of Altar Servers, etc. If you are unsure whether this training is relevant to your situation please give me a call. I realise that many volunteers have had training previously, but the requirement is the volunteers are re-trained and re-vetted every 3 years. MONDAY 19TH MAY, 2025 IN THE ABBEY HOTEL AT 7PM.
- The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from 29th August, 2025 to the 3rd September, 2025 inclusive, under the leadership of Bishop Kevin Doran. Pilgrimage Highlights includes Mass at the Grotto, Torchlight and Blessed Sacrament Processions, Anointing of the Sick, Water Ceremony. Flights ex Knock Airport. The Pilgrimage includes the Assisted Pilgrim Section. Those who travel as part of the Assisted Pilgrim Section will stay in Accueil Notre Dame, which is situated near the Grotto and Sanctuary area. They will be cared for by the Diocesan Pilgrimage Care Team whilst in Lourdes. Application forms for the Assisted Pilgrim Section and full details are available from Very Rev. - – There are 2 places remaining on our Young Adult Pilgrimage to Italy 29 July – 8 August 2025 with Bishop Kevin Doran. The pilgrimage is open to 18 – 35year olds. The cost is €995 per person sharing and this includes flights, coach transfers, accommodation, Youth Jubilee with Pope Francis in Rome, 3 days on the St Columbanus Camino in northern Italy and day trip to Milan.
