- Elphin & Achonry Diocesan Pilgrimage to KNOCK – The Elphin & Achonry Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine will take place on Sunday, 17th August 2025. There will also be a Family Day on the same date offering various activities for families with children of all ages. The dioceses extend a special invitation to altar servers in our parishes to join the pilgrimage along with their families. - Elphin & Achonry Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes – The Elphin & Achonry Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from 29th August to 3rd September 2025. Application forms for the Assisted Pilgrim Section are available from Fr. Ray Milton, P.P., Pilgrimage Director, St. John’s, Lecarrow, Co. Roscommon (090 6661115). Closing date for receipt of Assisted Pilgrim Applications: 16th June. Nominations for the Youth Section are being sought from parishes for young people aged 17 to 20 years to participate in the pilgrimage. Youth must be nominated through their Priest/Chaplain. - Jubilee of Marriages Couples celebrating their Silver, Ruby, Golden, Diamond, Platinum or other wedding anniversaries are invited to attend a Jubilee Mass, along with their families and friends, on Sunday 5th October at 2.30pm in Sligo Cathedral or Sunday 19th October at 2.30pm in Strokestown Church. Bishop Kevin will celebrate both Masses. Light refreshments will be served afterwards for all in attendance. - BALLYGAR HERITAGE WEEK – In celebration of Heritage Week, Community Archaeologist, Christy Cunniffee, will come to Ballygar on Monday evening, August 18th to present a talk in Ballygar Courthouse. The talk will begin at 7:30pm. The title for the presentation is; ‘The Demesne Landscape and its associated Follies and Features.’ Christy will make reference to Castle Kelly and surrounding sites of importance.
- BNT Playground Committee would like to say a huge thank you to all who supported our recent fundraising raffle. Thanks to your generosity our playground repairs will commence soon. We wish all kids continued fun in BNT Playground.
