- Students sitting examinations: Any students who would like to receive a blessing are invited to attend Mass this coming Sunday, May 31st. Or if they wish to have their writing instruments/pencil cases blessed there will be an opportunity to do so. This will take place at all Sunday morning masses.
- 50th Anniversary – Toghergar Church: The weekend of 23rd May marked the 50th Anniversary of the official opening of Toghergar Church by Bishop Jones RIP, the Bishop of Elphin at the time, following completion of renovation works in 1976. These works included changing the altar, installing new seats etc. It is an important milestone in the history of Toghergar Church and in remembering those who worked/played a role on the Church project.
- The first 5 Saturday Devotions will continue on Saturday 6th June 2026 in St. Mary’s Church, Ballygar beginning with Rosary at 7pm. It’s also on webcam, on line.
- 41st All Ireland Rosary Rally – Annual rally takes place at Knock Shrine on June 6th, inspired by the example of Venerable Patrick Peyton. See allirelandrosaryrally.com for more details, the schedule, and for a list of 50+ buses going from around Ireland.
- Achonry and Elphin Pilgrimage to Lough Derg Dioceses of Achonry and Elphin three-day pilgrimage to Lough Derg will take place from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June. More details, including bus options: www.elphindiocese.ie/lough-derg All welcome.
- Parish Pilgrimage – A Journey of Faith through the Ages Local historian, Paul Connolly, will lead a parish pilgrimage on Saturday, June 20th, starting at 2pm. The pilgrimage will take us from the Ballygar/Killeroran side of our parish, beginning outside Ballygar Church, the pilgrimage will include a journey to Tohergar Church and we will conclude in Newbridge. There will be a list placed at the back of all three churches over the coming weeks, if people are interested, please feel free to write your name on the list. This is necessary to get an idea of numbers for the bus. The meeting place will be outside Ballygar Church at 2pm. More details to follow in the coming weeks. - Children’s Rosary and Adoration @ 4:45 – 5:15 PM on Friday, 5th June in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, Knock Shrine. Fr Marius O’Reilly and some guest international speakers for the All-Ireland Rosary Rally will join the children in prayer. All are welcome. Holy Mass at 5:30 PM in Apparition Chapel.
