  • Good Friday Collection Every Good Friday, a collection is taken up in parishes throughout the world to support the pastoral care of the Christian community the Holy Land and to safeguard and maintain the ‘Holy Places’ associated with the life of Jesus.  These sites are an essential part of our Christian heritage and your kind contribution helps to facilitate their maintenance for this and future generations.  Thank you. 
  • Mass of Chrism Bishop Kevin invites you to attend the Mass of Chrism this Wednesday 5th April at 7.30pm in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo.  During the Mass, Bishop Kevin will bless and consecrate the oils used in the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Orders and the Sick and the priests of the diocese will renew their commitment to their priestly ministry.  All are very welcome to attend. 
  • Killyan Graveyard -Tidy Up for Easter – The grass in the New Graveyard has had its first cut of the season.  If you can spare an hour at 11.00am on Holy Saturday, please come and help with a general tidy up.  Please bring brushes, shovels and blowers, and help us to keep our Graveyard looking well, especially for Easter.  Many thanks.
  • Reminder  Newbridge Easter Parade – on Easter Sunday at 3pm.  Calling on all station areas to have a float, local businesses, clubs & committees also.  This year in addition there is the strongest village competition (a team of 5 pulling a tractor with a minimum of one female) this takes place at 4pm.  Face painting also on the day.  Everyone come a long for a great day out.
